THE worst experience so far during our water damage to our house has been dealing with this company. They are supposed to be a service based company who HELP you find housing. Instead, they were an absolute hinderance to the process.

They booked us into a 2 star hotel at first, promising it would only be for the weekend. I did my own research in the meantime for a long term housing solution and found 3 option that fit all our needs. The agent we were linked with would not respond to emails, texts or voicemails typically for 24 hours. She would never pick up the phone when I called. She sent 1 option for approval to our insurance adjuster which was denied for being too expensive (plus it didn’t meet any of the criteria we asked for AND she never bothered to ask ME first if it would even work). 1 week later and we were still in the 2 star hotel. She finally decides the only place that will work is one of the long term options I chose on day one. Now that we had wasted an entire week at a crappy hotel, we had less policy money to work with and would have to pay out of pocket for a portion. Even then, she claimed she couldn’t do it for days, even though I could do it on my own immediately. Meanwhile, she extends our hotel stay until January 5, without asking me once again. Mind you, I have 2 young kids and it’s almost Christmas. The water damage happened on December 13. They expected us to have our kids spend Christmas in a 2 star hotel when I could have booked a long term solution myself on day one.

I was finally able to find a reasonable adjuster with our insurance who decided we could get our long term housing policy money out and book a place ourselves. HOWEVER, Temporary housing directory (THD) is keeping THOUSANDS of dollars of our policy for their compensation for “helping” us. UNBELIEVABLE

This company is an absolute joke that wasted our time and a LOT of our money during an already stressful time. If you’re ever in our situation, ask to get your policy money out immediately and book a place yourself.
