I believe that they were dishonest with me
I had a check engine light on that they did not fix the first time in. They did not fix the second time in or the third time in.
They said that my rear brakes were dangerous and needed replacement immediately or I would ruin the rotors. Because I am retired and can't afford unnecessary repairs I looked at the brakes with my mechanical son. The rear brakes were like new. They lost my trust immediately. The engine light stayed on after replacing the O2 sensor for $ 300 so I took in a fourth time. They had the truck for two days and came back saying that two injector wires were crossed. The only way they got crossed was for someone to purposely cross them as you have to remove the engine cover to access them and the engine had been running beautifully for over one year. I believe that they crossed the engine wires themselves as Smiths were the only ones to take the engine cover off. They charged me $ 420 for what would take 15 minutes and I further believe that they wanted to be paid for for doing brakes which did not need anything. I will not be going back to Doug Smith when I used to think that they were honest and good, but no more
