I have used Patriot Plumbing on two occasions. While our first interaction with the company was great, when things went wrong, Patriot Plumbing disclaimed any responsibility and turned to blaming the innocent customer.

In August, we called Patriot Plumbing to perform regular servicing on our acid neutralizer system for our well water. Part of the service was to refill it with media. The system had never caused us any problems. Immediately following the service, my wife and I awoke to find that our basement had flooded. The acid neutralizer system had discharged all the media that the Patriot Plumbing technician had just put in, clogging our drain and sewer pipes in the home.

I immediately contacted my insurance company as well as Patriot Plumbing. At first, Patriot was very apologetic. They claimed that "this has never happened before" and promptly dispatched a technician to perform emergency plumbing services to mitigate the clogged drain lines. The technician didn't understand what happened, and he therefore couldn't recommend a fix for the water system. He also hesitated to recommend replacing the system, because he couldn't say that there was anything wrong with it. This left us with a flooded basement and an empty acid neutralizer system.

Since our insurance company sought reimbursement from Patriot Plumbing for damages, they have really changed their tune. Suddenly, Patriot has cast the blame on us. "It must have been your faulty equipment."

Patriot Plumbing has refused to refund the $535.11 that I paid in good faith to have my acid neutralizer system properly serviced, but which never was, and my basement was flooded. Instead, Patriot Plumbing has offered us a "discount" on replacing the system that they now claim is broken.

Lisa from Patriot Plumbing even had the nerve to blame me and my wife for involving our insurance company! She stated that we should have relied on Patriot Plumbing to remediate the flooding with a simple shop-vac, rather than involving our insurance company who immediately dispatched a professional water remediation company.

I wanted to provide a very honest review for consumers to make an informed decision. I have had some very positive interactions with Patriot Plumbing. Their service technicians are always friendly and prompt. However, when Patriot Plumbing screwed up, they disclaimed all responsibility, blamed me and my wife for it, and left us with a flooded basement, an empty acid neutralizer system, and a pile of bills to pay.
