I had received a call from Car Shield as I was trying to un-do my deal with Endurance and between Endurance and the company before them, Assurance I believe, the whole business of car warranties just left a bad taste in my mouth so to speak, and although I got talked into a carshield plan, I immediately canceled it the following day. I am old and I'm tired of fighting with warranty companies that promise the world but when it comes to pay for a "covered" repair the tedious list of hoops to jump through just made me decide I don't need to throw away my money on sumthn I can't for sure for real count on to be there if I need them. Maybe car shield is different I honestly did not give them a proper chance but when u have been screwed over by warranty companies it leaves a person rather skiddish and the stakes are too high to take that gamble. For me anyway. If only they back up what they promise that's a good company but I pulled out early without finding our. Fixed income leaves little left to live on when paying for a new car note, higher insurance premiums etc... Sumhow I did not feel like I had a company that would be on my side should I need them to be. Too much stress worrying if I was going to have claims denied and end up paying out of pocket anyway. No offense to car shield at all. Just my bad experiences in general but that's all I have to go by is a history of unpaid claims and convoluted contracts that are nea impossible to get out of. Just remember, they only make a profit if they don't have to.pay out on claims. I can't roll the dice this time.
