They came through when my Nissan CVT died
Even though I'm leaving CarShield, I was a very satisfied customer. The only reason I left is that I sold the car that the CarShield contract was covering and I bought a new car that had an extended coverage warranty through the dealership I purchased it at.
CarShield is worth the money in my opinion. For what it's worth, I was driving a 2010 Nissan Altima SL. At around 177K miles, CarShield really proved themselves when the CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) died. I was left stranded on i495 if any of you are familiar with the beltway joining Maryland, DC and Virginia. In any case, I was able to get the car towed to a Service Center, confirmed that the CVT had in fact died and reached out to CarShield for help. A replacement transmission ended up costing over 5k; CarShield was able to cover something close to 90% of the expenses leaving me with very little to pay in comparison. I'll always appreciate CarShield for being able to handle that.
I remember before having a CarShield contract being skeptical at first, but they really came through when I needed them. Ernie Hudson, Ice T and Mike Ditka are backing a good product in my opinion.
