Overall my experience with ACC Medlink was positive. They were easy to work with. Once we decided on a date everything went smoothly with one exception. The night they picked him up, he had a wheelchair they weren't able to fit in the van. When I made the reservation, they asked me about luggage and other personal items. I said no luggage but he had a wheelchair. When the arrived, she said her notes specified that it was collapsible but it wasn't. If they had asked me that question I would have answered correctly because it's a ten thousand dollar wheelchair. I had to make other arrangements to have it transported by a mover. I'm a little bit disappointed that they never asked the question after I spent so much money on transporting him. It wouldn't have been a problem, I was happy to pay the fee and even tipped everyone. It would have just been helpful to know upfront that I had to make other arrangements for the wheelchair. The actual trip went smoothly. The nurse texted me during the trip and when they arrived to keep me apprised, especially knowing that I was concerned about his state of mind and the chance that he might become anxious.
