It was a really, really easy experience using ACC Medlink. I called them, and they gave made everything easy. They told me what to expect, and sent me the paperwork. I sent them the addresses to and from. We discussed air versus ground transport. They set up everything and did everything. I didn't have to do any major thinking. ACC called the facility and learned about who they were transporting and his needs. We ended up choosing ground transport even though air was half the price. ACC gave me a schedule, and asked me when I would like the trip made. I gave them the dates, which they accepted. They picked him up at six PM, drove straight through for thirty-seven hours and delivered him close to six AM, right on schedule. He got along very well with the nurse on board. The two drivers only stopped for gas. It was done so fast and so quickly I almost didn't have to think about anything. By the time I wondered about how the trip was going, he had already arrived. It was really a worry-free thing. They took care of everything, and it was very effortless on my end. It was all them. My Dad was the person who was being transported, and he was as happy as could be. It was a win-win for everyone.
