ACC Medlink came to our rescue when my husband who was working out of state had an accident that resulted in immediate surgery and a lengthy stay in the hospital. I had to find a way for him to get home after all of this safely due to health reasons. Somehow I stumbled across ACC to transport my husband approximately two hours to our home state during bad weather, ice and snow and just horrible road conditions. I could not go get him myself because driving and trying to care for him alone with the weather conditions would not have been safe or possible. My husband and myself could not have asked for more caring and compassionate people who were there for him the entire trip! I cannot thank them enough for the way the treated him and kept his spirits up during this 9 hour journey! There were three people involved in this transport, two to take care of him and his condition and the driver. They all absolutely performed a tremendous job, from making my husband comfortable, to the driver Jonathon who had to drive on the wintery, snow covered roads! They are an absolute blessing because the hospital did not want to release him until I assured the doctors that he would be in great care and ACC provided that! They are absolutely down to earth and friendly, their reassurance in this process made it easier for my husband and myself and we are so grateful to them and extremely happy that he is home recuperating! Husband is doing great mending very well! I did contact the hospital and let them know about this service and provided them with all the information for anyone in similar circumstances who needed to get their loved one home! I also want to say that the transport staff are certified paramedics trained for any emergency that may happen during transport! Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! From start to finish this experience, although trying due to circumstance, turned out better than I ever could imagine!
