I will start by saying that I LOVE my pool. That being said, it was a long road to this point. Platinum pools was very good at helping handle my horrible HOA, but I feel this is the best that they did. I don't feel like I was given all my options at the beginning for good informed decision making. I have seen many options on other pools since our was designed that I may have considered if the option had been given. I was not at all happy in the contract part of the construction. We had several amendments and I feel that most were unfair, example, we were charged more for the gas line when the equipment moved. Our contract didn't state "included" up to 10 feet. Our contract simply read "included" for many things with no price or specifics stated, therefore, if a change was made, we got a nice price "amendment" that we could do nothing about. They also wanted to charge me an additional $800 to run a required water line to our street. This didn't happen, but only because I really fought it. At this point, we have been swimming since May 6, 2010 and have yet to receive the final sign off on inspection. The papers are still hanging.

I am so glad that you and your family are enjoying your pool. Please allow me to apologize on behalf of my staff and I for the issues you had during construction. While we know that things will go wrong in construction, Platinum prides itself on making sure that the end result meets the customer’s expectations.

Our goal is to show all of our customers the many features that are available in our pools not only through our presentation but also in the water features and the extra options section of our web site. I regret that you did not get the opportunity to review all of the options you were looking for. We have revamped our entire web site since your project in the attempt to make all of our options more prominent.

The term “included” can be misconstrued. Our contracts are written stating that certain items are “included” based off of the current design which we go over and have every customer sign off on before proceeding.
We are in the process of final inspection and will notify you personally when this has been completed. I once again apologize for any holdup and assure you customer satisfaction is our top priority.
