They push their services and costs too much. Every discussion with the tech involved doing something and its related cost. He didn't want to fix our unit, just replace it for a minimum of $9000. It has a minor problem that can be fixed for a few hundred dollars. I've checked that with other companies and one of them is coming out to fix it. They do it all the time. The JW tech wouldn't honor a $99 service coupon we had but did honor a 10 discount coupon for repair. He didn't make a repair but I guess he felt he better do something. Cost $300 for freon refill. That's excessive. He said that is their standard charge. He did remove the $200 charge for checking to see what was wrong with the unit. Actually, just to check for a freon leak. So is there another charge for checking the electrical system? Probably. I thought that was what the $29 service charge was for. Why are they charging additional money to check the system? That's the purpose of them coming out. To check the system. I will not use them again and will not recommend them to anyone. It was an unpleasant experience and I feel ripped off.
