I wish there was a negative start value because I would rate SGAH is minus 5 starts. Two weeks ago my 88 year old mother was admitted following a fall at home. As we tried visiting the next day, we quickly discovered that SGAH permits ONLY ONE visitor per day. This means that either myself, my brother, or any one of my two daughters could visit. We quickly discovered my mom was given only days to live. Given this critical state, you would think that SGAH would allow more than one visitor out of compassion for a dying mother, but NO, SGAH would not allow such visits, they pointed to a policy binder that looked like it was hastily assembled. Worse, when you challenge the front desk, you are quickly encircled by security who take a posture of aggression for a family simply wanting to visit a dying family member. Given that our insurance pays for their services, they are certainly not service, family, nor customer or quality focused, they are strictly $$$ money focused. Our mom died quietly this past Wednesday, and only after she was gone would they allow more than one visitor. Thanks SGAH, but coming through only after death only enrages the family even more, we never got the quality or compassion visits she deserved. Looking for a good lawyer to see what can be done so that others don't have to similarly suffer.
