The county where I live first told me about aerobic bacteria after I explained my situation and I found Aero-Stream while searching the internet. It was a last ditch effort to find a solution to prevent replacing my leach field which had failed after only 12 years (new home). The estimate for replacing was between $15,000 - $20,000, OUCH!
Prior to install my liquid level was above the top of the "Tee", while pumping we had liquid flowing back from the failed leach field. The installation was very easy and the customer support excellent! I plugged it in and had an "that odor" for about 18 hours, then no smell.
4 months later I accessed the tank, removed the riser lid and it is difficult to articulate the elation I felt when I saw the complete repair of my failed leach field had been accomplished. The liquid had a tea color and was barely at the portion of the Tee that goes out to the leach field, the level had dropped about 10 inches. I even called the guy who pumped my septic to come take a look, he gave me the estimate for replacement, and he agreed "it really works".
If you are where I was 4 months ago, reading these reviews and concerned about the validity of everyone's claims of success, DON'T BE, this system really works and saves you money.
