Baritone saxophone legend Hamiet Bluiett doesn't do many concerts so it was a rare treat to see his quartet at Rendell Memorial Church 6/30/2015 12Noon-2PM. There were many other bari sax players in the audience. Pianist D.D. Jackson is an exciting soloist and worth seeing in one of his rare local gigs. William Parker, bassist, kept the groove going with 10 year old Kojo Roney on drums who had a good ear for the compositions. This Tuesday lunchtime series has been running for 7+ months and has many good groups scheduled, including Howard Johnson on 7/14/2015. For $15 or $10 [seniors] it is a great deal.
