Great Value for Money -- Need to Be Flexible
I ordered 12 kitchen cabinets late last year and then 3 more just this last month. I ordered "Golden Shaker" and the color was not as shown on the website -- being much more 'brown' than golden. I had not ordered a sample, so I just adjusted my expectations -- and I've grown to like the deeper color.
In the first shipment, only the 30" by 90" Pantry arrived damaged -- the long span was too much for the packaging and the back panel had slight delamination/cracking.
However, I was able to glue and screw the plywood back to a good structurally sound condition with little effort.
The overall quality of the wood and hardware is very good. The cam lock system works well and the tolerance of construction was very good. Having NO MDF is HUGE in my opinion.
Receiving the motor freight shipment was a bit challenging -- you must accept -- read the T&C for shipping carefully. It was a big tractor trailer so I took my small trailer down to the main road and off loaded to my small car pulled trailer -- that worked well but required 'logistics.'
I had damage of one cabinet on the second order which was very visible from shipping impact. I wrote to customer service and they quickly shipped me the replacement parts.
After receiving the parts, while assembling that cabinet, I notice that one of the plastic packages of parts was missing. I wrote to customer service and they agreed to send out the parts. I felt this was a very helpful positive attitude and gesture since I'd not noticed/reported the missing item in my initial request.
So, in summary, for the cost of the products, I found the quality and service to be very good. I obtained excellent cabinets with no MDF, great solid woods and ply and German hardware at a small fraction of the cost of the 'big box stores' which only sell MDF shells at any price as far as I can tell.
What you need are some DIY skills or pay some one who does, and you also need to be patient and flexible. It's not just a drive down to L or HD.
