I searched around Lowe's and Home Depot for many months looking at cabinets. The cabinets I could afford were cheap and ugly, the cabinets I like I could not afford. In our new house the first thing people notice is our golden shaker cabinets. They can't believe the price we paid for them. I was impressed with how quickly they came. I have told everyone, this is where you get good cabinets.
