I have been a repeat tenant with Bennett. I have been in my current residence since 2012, some would say we are the “Dream tenants” for we pay our rent timely and keep the property in good condition. When we first moved into this property in 2012 the rent was $795 (They bought this property along with many others in 2009 during the recession for low cost of only 74k) They gradually continued to increase the rent each year (gradual is expected). I have since paid the increases for the past 9 years which total over $105k which is a gain for them all around. The past 2 years have been tuff since we lost 4 family members due to Covid, lost job and etc. They knew all of these unfortunate circumstances but yet they decided to increase my rent significantly from $1320 to $1830 (over $500). Talk about the utterly disgusting greed since they are practically pocketing every dime but have NOT made one single repair/improvement to the property. (Besides urgent request) sad that greed has consumed them and I pray they do not have to endure what our family has already endured these past 2 years during Covid. This is definitely an indication that it is time to move on.
