I had previously found negative reviews on this shop, but had ignored them because they had a dress that I loved. The staff were very nice and accommodating while I was shopping and told me the alternations needed could be done and said their seamstress was a genius and amazing. When I went for my first fitting I found that the seamstress had already hemmed the dress and it was much too short and could not be repaired as the material was already gone. The top of the dress needed to be altered slightly as well so I came back for a second fitting. At my second fitting I found out the seamstress had entirely changed the design of the dress (taking a sweetheart neckline to a straight across neckline). I was horrified and spent hours at the shop showing her pictures of what the dress looked like on me when I bought it and trying to get her to return it to that state. At the end of the day the shop staff and seamstress were not helpful, rude (even yelling at my parents), and refused to refund money on the alterations. I will now be bringing my dress to another seamstress to have it fixed. Helene's Bridal turned my wedding dress shopping into a nightmare.
