Our experience at Helene's started out wonderful! I was impressed with the service and the selection they had. My daughter ended up picking the gown which the owner had actually recommended for her. They were understanding about my payment options and they got the gown in, in plenty of time. However...once the gown was in, we found they had ordered the gown WAY too small and we had to go back 4 times for fittings, one of which was a total waste of time because they claimed to "lost" the piece she was to make to put into the dress and we had to come back again the following week. When I asked about a shawl for her to wear (it was a strappless dress), they gave me a piece of netting and I ended up purchasing a proper shawl at another bridal boutique. On grad day, putting the dress on, one of the loops the back tie goes through broke when the tie was slightly tightened and the optional spaghetti straps that were originally with the dress, were not with the dress any longer and my daughter had to go without. On top of paying close to $600 for the gown, I had to pay another $300 for alterations because they never measured properly or ordered the correct size. The staff were very friendly and seemed to be very helpful at first, but it went downhill after that and our experience there was not very positive...not a good thing when the graduating daughter will one day be getting married!
