I am an African American woman living in Connecticut and have been researching Rhinoplasty doctors in New York for many years. I paid for consultations with Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj who wanted to put some kind of foreign object he made for ethnic nose to raise my bridge; and Dr. Andrew Jacono advised me that I should use cadaveric cartilage for building up my bridge because it would be very painful using my own rib. None of those options sat well with me, so I decided to do some research of doctors in CT where I live. In my research I found Dr. Wilfred Brown, the best Rhinoplasty Surgeon any Black, White, or Asian person would want to do their surgery. He listened to my entire request and then he showed me how he can fix my bridge without changing my identity, using my own rib cartilage. It was the best advice I received from all the doctors I had seen to date. After my third visit, (which was all part of my consultation fee) I scheduled my surgery.
My surgery went well. My husband was very much impressed with Dr. Brown and his staff bedside manners and he complimented him on his kind demeanor. After the surgery I was a little sour, stuffy and a little uncomfortable from the rib surgery, but my nose was not painful at all. My pain-killers worked like magic and I did not have any major problems.
On the 7th day when my cast and stiches was removed, I fell in love with the results. I had a smaller version of my nose with a bridge; exactly what I wanted. I am so glad that I decided to choose Dr. Wilfred Brown because he is more about making his patients look good and remain healthy, than about money and a quick fix.
