Icemaker repair

I would not give this company any stars for service at all. Started back in 2014 when I purchased a new stove and icemaker from the Champaign store. Well the stove came with a bent handle, got a dishwasher too and it was not sitting level after installed and the ice-maker did not fit under my counter. SO the salesman said we will exchange the icemaker out for any one you want that will fit. Mind you the first icemaker never made any ice at all. So we got a new icemaker and for 2 1/2 years have had no trouble. We finally got a message that the machine needed cleaned and also a new filter. We went to the Champaign store and had to order a filter which took almost a week for it to come in. We replaced filter and put cleaning solution in the machine but it did not restart. We called Champaign for a repair man to come out. WAS NOT 1 DAY SERVICE AS THEY ADVERTISE. I was told machine still under warranty so anyway man finally showed up and plainly written on his bill, parts worn out. He went ahead and put cleaner in machine, got it started and said when cleaning got done (in 70 minutes) it would be making ice. Nothing happened so we called Champaign again, again told machine under warranty so only thing we would be paying for would be trip. This time he installed several new parts, after he left machine still did not work. So we had to call Champaign again and this time were told it would be 4 days before someone could come. Finally the same man showed up and he again rummaged around in the machine, left saying it would be making ice..........Nothing!! He also told us the machine was not under warranty and we would have to start paying for parts, labor and mileage. He handed me a bill and I refused to pay. I told him I would pay for mileage as before but not parts and labor as the machine was still under the 3 year guarantee, which they had told me when I first called. My husband yesterday (June 26th) stopped by the Champaign store and was told someone from Springfield would be calling. Finally they did. Their explanation was the machine is not under warranty!!! Imagine my shock after reading it had a three year warranty but they said the first machine they put in which was to tall, by returning it and getting another machine the warranty on it was only 1 year. No where is it written nor was I told this. To put it mildly I am very upset. I spent over $13,000.00 at this store and for them to pull this kind of farce I am beside myself. I should have a replacement machine if nothing else because they lied to me. Given they were out here 3 times and the machine is still not fixed tells me something about their incompetent repair service. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DICK VAN DYKE APPLIANCE IN CHAMPAIGN !!!!!
A warranty means nothing and service is rotten.
