About eight years ago I had a system unit installed, but it was not of the quality of my previous one, so I switched from the prior company to Rocky Top Air. I ended up paying them a significant amount to have the system replaced and set up properly. Soon after I signed up for their maintenance contract. I was charged $253 a year for three maintenance check-ups. But after about a year after that, in 2017, Rocky Top merged with another heating and cooling service, so I had to sign another contract. They debited $26 a month from my credit card, but that ended up costing me more by the end of the year. Not only that, in November of 2018 when I last had some techs come out to work on my dual system, they gave me three invoices with different options: I could either pay around $250 for some warranty work and some repair, or I could pay more to have the unit's blower wheel cleaned, or even more than that to put in some air quality part to help reduce the risk of radon. I chose the lowest price, but I told them I was not happy with this. If I'm paying a total of $312 a year, what type of value am I receiving from this contract? Overall I'm not complaining about their service in general, as their techs do a good job. I'm just not happy at the moment with how they price in accordance with the contract for which I'm also paying
