I used Comfort Experts for many years until I wanted to get the heater and air conditioner for my home replaced. I got three quotes, theirs was the highest and it wasn’t even for the bigger or better system. I am not an expert but when I talked to another person, I know in the business I was told about their shady tactics of trying to over sell and over price their equipment and work and not honor their warranties. They were also involved in a lot of legal problems at one point because of this very thing. I think that is why they have changed their name at least three times (Comfort Expert/AC Genius/ Hobson Heating and Air). They are rated terribly everywhere you look. They really try to push their membership services onto people and then do not follow up with their members to make sure they are getting taken care of. They call me at least 1-3 times every week it seems even though I have asked them to stop calling me several times and have even asked to be put on their do not call list. And the funny thing is that I couldn’t even get ONE call from them when it was time for them to maintenance my air conditioner. When they do call me, they talk to me as though they were calling someone they have never spoken to before, they make me offers for what they call a previous customer, but I haven’t used them in years. I am not a previous customer, I am a disgruntled ex-customer who thinks Comfort Expert/AC Genius/ Hobson Heating and Air Conditioning is nothing short of a criminal organization full of lies and out to get your money while offering only poor service in return.
The only reason they got a 2 star on the service is because most of the ladies I spoke to in the customer center always seemed nice and helpful, and they probably do not get paid enough. I am sure if a company will treat its customers the way this one does that it probably doesn’t do right by its employees either. Go work for a respectable company girls.
