Honest Air Inc - Heating & AC Repair

Honest and then some

These guys are truly Honest, along with competent and possessing a meticulous attention to detail - the stuff that's less obvious and easy to skip over. I've met the business owner Jeff, and I can see where the culture of this company comes from (as it usually does), the top.

It's been a little over a year since we had Honest Air do a pretty major AC ductwork revision for us. We had upgraded to a 5 ton unit from a 3 along with a bigger air handler a couple of years earlier. The outfit that installed it completely messed up the air flow in the house, so that one side of the house was really cold and whistled like a wind tunnel while the other wing roasted. We called in several AC companies to quote us solutions to the problems we were having. Most wanted a fee to take a look; HONEST AIR did not charge to do a walk-through to review ductwork.

The technician that came over to review our ductwork was Andy. The first thing that impressed me was that as Andy walked through the house, he noticed that some of the registers had fixed fins that blew against the wall. Without pausing for a second, he pulled out a tool from his pocket and immediately started straightening out and vanes so that the airflow would be be more effective in cooling the area. He didn't wait to secure the job or anything - he just corrected what needed to be corrected as if it was his own home. HOW REFRESHING - THANK YOU ANDY!

The quote we had received previously was from a very well advertised AC company. They were very professional and everything, and appeared at our front door complete with uniform and booties to protect our floors (I guess). Andy didn't have any booties, but he came up with a superior plan for our air flow issues, at LITERALLY half the cost. We were blown away. The project entailed adding a return on the warm side of the house so as to encourage air flow to it; installing a return air plenum on the air handler; upgrading some of the supply air ducting, and installing dampers to balance the air flow. Mike and Brandon did a super job! all the ductwork was well supported and had good sweeping bends, and all the joints were well sealed with mastic or sealant. The new return is well installed and sucks in lots of air for that side of the home. Gone are the days of rushing wind sounds that drown out the TV, and the there are no longer any warm spots in the house - during the dog days of summer. And all at a really good fair price. Thank you Jeff, Andy, Mike and Brandon!
