We just moved my daughter into a house for Grad School, and drove the U-Haul from Texas, so we didn't know anybody in Rochester when we discovered gas leak and water heater problems during move in. Our Plumber was Merritt Shippee, who was honest, clear, direct, fixed the plumbing issues and set them straight for the eventual day when the (prior-owner-installed) water heater will need replacing. Merritt was extremely helpful in his advice to the new homeowners from Texas, in so many ways. It was clear that his intent was just to be of honest service, a rare thing these days. We kept copies of his card.
