The people working here were super nice. Mary helped me get financed and enrolled and always had a smile and polite words. Shannon in the office was great, really helpful. Emily let us know as the director her door was always open. John got us through the classroom section with no problems. Jan was one of my instructors and my examiner and she was patient, polite, very helpful and a pleasure to be around. Spent 1 day backing with Steve and he was knowledgable, patient, helpful and a really good guy with a really good attitude. Brian was the instructor we spent the most time with and he was patient, knowledgable and willing to answer even the dumb questions we asked. I got "the look" about once a day when I did something after being told fifty times not to. I spent 1 day mountain driving with Hank, he's a bit of a grouch but he shared a wealth of experience with us and kept me smiling most of the day, a really good guy. A lot of learning to drive a truck is letting go of years of old driving habits and developing new habits. The staff was patient with me. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend this school to others. It could use some newer teaching aides in the classroom. Some of the equipment was older, which even though I complained about it was probably a good learning experience in the long run. I cannot tell you enough how really nice and helpful the staff was. I ended up getting a great flatbed job after researching companies and I'm looking forward to my new career. Thanks to all the people at USTDS!
