Instructors are knowledgeable they do the best that they can with the outdated equipment. The week I drove was trained on a ten speed. Then had to take my test with an eight speed. Still passed barely because I was concentrating on where the gears were. The truck could not even do 55 on the freeway. And felt like it had a load in it trying to fo up a hill. The trucks are not well maintained. However if you can drive these pieces if $@!#% you should be able to drive anything.
