About 29 years ago, Myself, and two of my buddies started our class at USTDS Denver. This was actually way back in the schools "Hey Day"...There were two classes, of approximately 25 people each...One set in the classroom, the other out in the Big Blue Barn...We had a ball....At the same time, it was a great learning experience...Wonderful Instructors, real life equipment.....( pretty much all Cabovers back then ) I had truck #501, a 79 KW with a 13 speed, It would shake the fillings out of your teeth...But 2 or 3 days on Colfax Ave, and you were shifting like an old Pro...Made all the difference in the world, on that job interview...Over the next 30 years, I have owned 4 of my own trucks, been an Instructor at a couple different schools, was a CDL Examiner for years, and was one of the original crew, that helped design and build the ISIM Driving Simulator...All in all, its been a great career, and it all started at USTDS...Thanks Johnny Mauro, Lindy Grille, Les Dunn, Lew Grille, etc. etc.
