I gave Donovan Equipment Co Inc a check for thirty-seven thousand dollars for a new body for my truck. After six weeks, something went wrong with the piston so I took it back. Chris told me that the piston needed to be replaced. The part had to come from Canada and would take six to seven weeks. I can't take my truck off the road for that long and asked him what my choices were. He suggested temporarily putting in a piston for thirty-nine hundred dollars until the right one arrived from Canada. Well, who's going to reimburse me for that? They expected me to pay for it and that is just not good business after I already paid them thirty-seven thousand dollars. I've been dealing with them for forty years and this is just a terrible, terrible thing they're doing to me. Now they've stopped taking my calls. My next call is going to be to my attorney because I can't afford to take my truck off the road for that long and what if something happens. It's too bad because my insurance adjustor recommended Donovan to me. I doubt they're going to be recommending them again.
