800.00 Neuter

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! After over 10 years of taking my fur babies to Indian Tree the time has sadly ended. After the new owners took over this place has declined rapidly. Not the care. The vets and vet techs are good. Its the exorbitant price gouging and change of focus from caring for our pets to the all mighty dollar. And not a simple increase of cost due to inflation but a dedication to fleecing the consumer. I think we all agree that spay/neuter is essential to responsible pet ownership. Go by any shelter and look at all those homeless babies if you disagree. I scheduled my most recent adopted rescue cat for a neuter at Indian Tree. Imagine my surprise when my pre procedure blood work alone was 200.00 !! (You read that right) I asked the cost of the actual procedure there these days and was told “somewhere between 300-600” Incredibly shady price range but have come to expect nothing less. Apparently they have no idea what a neuter procedure cost there. Knowing the price gougers this place has become over the last decade I am fully aware that means closer to 600! How is charging upwards of 800 for a feline neuter promoting responsible pet ownership? Its the exact opposite. Indian Tree cares about your money not your pet. My shocked response to this price gouge offended the poor receptionist. I was offered a call from the owner but now 5 days laters still no call. Owner doesn’t have the courage to try and answer for this price gouge tactic. 800 to neuter a cat!! Ive been driving to Indian Tree from Erie for years to stay loyal them despite the pricing (for all services) which I’ve learned is apprx 2-3 times higher than others. I got my cat Thomas neutered locally for 200.00 by a Vet that seems to actually care about pets and promotes responsible pet ownership. After 10 years Ive finally learned my lesson.AVOID INDIAN TREE AND THE MONEY FOCUSED PRACTICE THEY HAVE BECOME. SHAME ON YOU INDIAN TREE. Our pets deserve a Vet that cares about them and their owners
