I took a rug l personally purchased in Turkey to be cleaned at Hammond Knoll. We looked over the rug when I brought it in for anything that was wrong with it and we agreed on those things. When I picked up the rug and unrolled it at home it looked like wool that had been washed in water - pulled out of shape, bumpy and lumpy all over. I was heart sick!

When I called in to them Marta said there was nothing wrong with it but later said they'd try to straighten it out. She was cold and unconcerned. It was all the rug's fault according to her and they accepted no responsibility - and here I thought they were the experts!

If you love your rug be very very careful taking it here.

Terrible experience.
