I hired Rooter Wizard to tell me one thing, where the main drain in a house was. This was imperative to know if a kitchen could be built in the basement, and would confirm whether I should purchase the home or not. I paid them close to $200 to tell me if the drain was in fact inside a particular wall. They performed a sewer scope and told me that it was so I purchased the home. I immediately bought cabinets, granite and other materials for a kitchen and began cutting into the drywall to find my drain in the exact spot they told me it was. The drain was nowhere to be found! I figured it was possible they could be off by a few feet so I kept cutting laterally to find it. Nothing. 13 ft later I had cut open the entire wall and the drain wasn’t there!! I tried calling Rooter Wizard for days And left a voicemail but they never called back! A week later I was frustrated and cut into a different wall where I suspected the drain would be in the first place and I was right. Now I have 13 ft of drywall that needs to be repaired and a mortgage on a home that can’t have a basement kitchen. I paid $200 for this false information that led me to a terrible decision and Rooter Wizard won’t respond after listening to my voicemail explaining the situation.
