I thought I had a transmission problem and needed to get it checked, and a buddy of mine recommended AAMCO Transmissions so I took my car to them. I came by in the afternoon and the guy in the office told me the mechanics were all out at lunch but they'd be able to see me when they got back. We had an hour to kill before they could look at the car, and they ran a diagnostic check on it once they got back. They didn't detect a transmission problem at the time but it seemed that I may need a solenoid pack replaced, so apparently it's an electrical problem and not the transmission. We'll see once I get it looked at elsewhere. But they didn't charge me for the diagnostic test and they seemed to know what they were talking about, and the guys were very friendly. If I did have transmission problems I would go back to them.
