It Was Okay

I have used AAMCO Transmissions before. This time they replaced the casing on my truck. Something had come loose and it made a hole in the casing. My truck is running good, but I haven't taken it out of town yet.

I was kind of surprised when they told me that the warranty was up on my truck. I did not know that. I was disappointed that I couldn't pay for the work with the card that I used before, but they told me they don't deal with that company anymore.

I felt that their pricing was a little high, but they didn't tell me the price until they were finished. I am not sure if I will use them again.

We are disappointed to hear how Mr. Dawkins felt about his most recent experience with our shop. His first transmission repair occurred in June of 2015 and came with a 12 month, 12,000-mile warranty that he chose, versus an extended warranty that would have covered this second repair. He returned his truck to our shop in January 2018 after putting approximately 25,000 miles on it. So, he'd significantly exceeded the time period and mileage of his original transmission repair warranty. He accepted our offer to repair his vehicle a second time at a significant discount prior to our doing any work since he was a return customer and told us at the time that he did so because he felt most comfortable with us repairing his truck. Sadly we no longer do business with a credit company whose card he'd used previously. We made every effort to accommodate Mr. Dawkins during this recent visit and hope that he will afford us the opportunity to earn his business, should he ever need our assistance in the future.
