Dear Mr. Rowe,
We are very sorry that you were dissatisfied with our service.
It is my understanding that you were not happy because you felt we completed the work too quickly relative to the cost.
We do not charge by the hour. We charge by the task or job. If a job runs into problems and takes a long time it does not cost more and if it goes very smoothly and is completed quickly it does not cost less. The final price is agreed to in advance so there are no surprises and the customer is not penalized if a job runs into problems or an employee works at a slower pace.

Your job was completed by 2 of our senior electricians who work very quickly and efficiently. In this case the work went especially smoothly so it was completed in 1 day however, it could just have easily taken 2 to 3 depending on if we ran into problems or if slower electricians were doing it. The price was based on the scope of the work not an hourly rate. This was mutually agreed upon several weeks prior to us doing the work.
In your review you describe a small job for $3100. The scope of work and costs are listed below. They are based on nationwide industry standards and are competitive with similar companies.
Scope of work:
Install a new 60 amp sub panel- $883
Run a new circuit 40 feet from the sub panel in conduit from one side of the house to the other- $1363
Provide and install a new forced air wall heater- $896

Our field supervisor reached out to discuss the job and prices with you and to offer you a customer satisfaction courtesy discount. Unfortunately you hung up the phone before he had the opportunity to get that far in the conversation.

In this particular case, your job went very smoothly so a company that charges by the hour may have ended up costing less - assuming that their electricians worked as quickly and efficiently. However it could just as easily taken twice as long and ended up costing the same or even more.
We sincerely regret that you did not feel that you received fair value for the work that was completed and are happy to discuss it further.
Sincerely,
Jamie Dent
