I have been into the German car specialist with two vehicles over the years. My latest experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. My engine light was on and they ran the vehicle through a series of scans and tests. When I got a call about 4 o’clock to say that my vehicle is ready to be picked up I asked if everything was done the response was yes it was, here is the total and when will you be in to pick it up.
When I arrived the service advisor proceeded to show me series of diagrams and photographs of a suspected problem for the engine light which would cost another $600 and require another day is booking. She went on to say that after this repair the problem may not be solved but it would be the next step in making that ultimate repair.
The service advisors previous declaration that the repair was finished and the car was ready to be picked up was not accurate. This felt disingenuous and her explanation that the repair might not still be complete left me with no confidence.

I’m taking my vehicle back to the dealer for a second opinion.
