I paid $99 for the technician to come and give me an estimate. The estimate was for over $1500 to snake three drains (none of them were completely clogged, two were a little slow). I decided NOT to have him snake the drains. Before he left, I asked him to give me another estimate… I need to replace the seals on the shower valves for hot and cold. His estimate was over $400! I said that it was less than one hour of work! He acknowledged that. No thank you!

I received an automated text message asking how the service was… and it gave me the option to call, so I did that. I wanted to state clearly that their service is too expensive. I spoke with a manager and told him everything. His response was that they are competitive with other professional plumbers. I don’t think that’s right. If they were competitive, then one would have incentive to charge less than the others to get more business. To me, it sounds like collusion.
