Keith Zars Pools

Where is the 5 star rated pool company in these reviews?

I was sold on Keith Zars Pools from reading the testimonials and talking to other people with pools built by KZP and people with less than satisfactory experiences with other pool companies. The planning and design process was amazing and I was certain that my pool was going to be awesome. However, construction has left me bitter and angry. I read the reviews and I feel even worse - why has my experience with KZP construction been nothing like anyone else's. Excavation occurred in the middle of the heavy rains this spring and they had to chip through solid rock so it took longer than expected. But once that was complete, the weather improved and I was hopeful things would progress quickly. Not at all the case. There have been weeks and weeks gone by between phases where no workers have shown up. Once a phase is complete, there is no-one to start the next phase. We are 11 weeks into construction not counting the nearly 3 weeks prior to that where approval was given but construction hadn't started. I chose KZP because I was told they were efficient and didn't subcontract - all work was done by their own crews. I was given an estimate of 7 weeks and 4 days for completion barring any bad weather. We had bad weather initially and a lot of rock to bust through but that was actually a pretty quick process in retrospect. There have been more days with no work being done than days that workers were here working in the last 11 weeks. Meanwhile, my yard is full of construction trash, my lawn and trees are dying and there's no end in sight. The foreman is never forthright with information. He does not keep me posted on progress and when asked about time frames is either non-commital or totally wrong. I'm beyond frustrated. I paid a large amount of money for a KZP and feel that it's such a big company that my satisfaction doesn't matter. I hope anyone reading my review will not make the mistake of having a pool built in the summer by a pool company who obviously has more work than it's crews or foremen can handle efficiently. I would love to report back on how amazing my pool turned out to be and brag about their service but at this point I just hope to have a completed pool by Christmas.
