My shower had a Moen mixer unit, and it was not functioning properly. I called Advanced Plumbing Service. I had seen their trucks around the neighborhood. Their plumber said that he had a lot of experience with these units, and the initial estimated price was $250. At first, it was thought that the problem was from the hot water side of the unit. Parts were ordered, and it took about a week for them to get here. However, that did not fix the problem. Then, the plumber determined that the unit itself needed repair, but those parts were no longer being manufactured. By the time the shower was fixed, it cost $1600, and another two weeks. I do not think that it was the plumber's fault, but I was not happy, and I was frustrated. He was supposedly the expert, and I simply followed his lead each time he decided on a new course of action. Overall, it took too long, and it became too expensive.
