Last Saturday we cam home at about 4 and noticed our thermostat was calling for 68F, but our house was at 64F. We asked our son the plumber if he could recommend a heating person. He gave us Gene's number. We set up an appointment for him to look at our furnace on Monday at 2. We spoke and did a little troubleshooting on the phone. We did get it to fire off and start heating. I called Gene back Sunday morning to let him know it was working, but still wanted him to inspect our furnace since it had NEVER been looked at since its installation in April 1990. By noon, it was failing again. So I called Gene back to let him know.

By his inspection on Monday, he determined it should be replaced. So we made an appoint for Tuesday at 9:30. His partner Brock, shows up promptly at 9:30 and begins removing the old furnace. Later, Gene comes with addition parts to retro-fit the new furnace. So sheet metal had to be fabricated on site, since the new furnaces are smaller than the older models. By 4:30 we had heat again. They also made some recommendations regarding our vents, that we could do ourselves.

They did a fast but very professional installation. Our old furnace was a 90% efficiency unit. Our new on is 95-96%.
