Keep eye out for overcharging
The movers themselves did well and took good care of our things. Nothing broken that I've noticed so far, but haven't seen everything yet. My beef stands with the billing. We used 3 trucks - so they charged $297 for the truck rentals and $297 for gas and then for time worked. They showed up at 9 am and left at 4 pm, taking a 1/2 hour lunch during that time. So, do the math and that's 6.5 hours work time. The lead guy billed me for 9.5 hours and said they had to account for driving time (3 hours, REALLY??). Denver is 1/2 hour away, so there and back is an hour. That still only totals 7.5 hours total that should have been billed, 8 at most. At $259/hour it's a bit absurd and overkill to try and charge people for time that wasn't even worked in addition to the already billed truck and gas fees. Needless to say, I'm not happy that I appear to have been overcharged for 2 hours ($518). When I called to say something, they said they can't bill me for their lunch break and only credited me back 1/2 hour (whoopy whoo). Needless to say, I feel a bit ripped off and have advised a couple friends who are looking to move and considered CB moving to reconsider.
