North Bay Truck Center

Motorhome problem while on vacation.

We were recently on vacation in California when we had a problem with the transmission on our motorhome. We had the motorhome towed to North Bay Truck Center (NBTC) where I spoke with the Service Manager Jim Buell. Jim was upfront in telling me that they would not be able to get to my vehicle for several days because of other pending work. We left the unit with NBTC and drove our car back to Colorado. Two days later I received a call from NBTC and they had already inspected the vehicle and determined that the transmission was damaged beyond repair.

A transmission was ordered and while we waited for it to be shipped from the east coast the staff at NBTC kept me updated. We had other planned trips coming up and I admit I became somewhat of a pest trying to keep on top of what was going on. Every person that I spoke with at NBTC were friendly, courteous, professional, understanding and helpful. I can not compliment and praise them enough.

Once the transmission was installed and it was going to be taken for a test drive, the technician heard an noise coming from the front end of the motorhome. Upon investigation they discovered that a front wheel bearing had gone out. Had they not discovered this problem a failure at Interstate Highway speeds could have been catastrophic.

And as a final exhibit of excellent customer service, when I picked up the motorhome, it had been washed and the windows cleaned inside and out.

I have since received two communications from Jim Buell asking how our vacation was going and making sure that the motorhome was operating properly.

I highly recommend North Bay Truck Center for your service needs.
