Installation was not as per the manufacturer.
It was s the second time we dealt with Deerfoot Carpet. The first time everything went very good. This time around we were using Ditra Heat system under our ceramic tile. We mentioned to the guy selling us the tiles that there was a specific way to install the Ditra Heat. we felt we were not listen to even if we explained how the manufacturer said to install it. The answer was always 'he (the installer) knows what he is doing. It is not the first time he install that system'. But it was installed improperly. I hope I won't have any issue in the future because of it. It looks OK, but how it was done underneath the tiles is also important for a trouble free future.
Also, we could not get a break down of the installation price (price of mortar, removing existing floor, manual labor, etc). So we do not know if we paid the right amount. We were also charged for 2 boxes of tiles that we never received. We had to really push hard to be deducted the price of those boxes.
