Pain Management Appointment
I was contacted by Dr. Gibby's receptionist and scheduled an appointment for noon that day. A few minutes later I received a call back and was asked if I could change the time to 3pm. Fine I changed. The receptionist stated I needed someone to drive me home due to a steroid shot in my lower spine. I set that up and arrived at 3pm. Check in was fine until I was told that I would not receive a shot today just a consult. I was sad because I had been in pain for 3 weeks. I was led back to a consult room that had just been used. The assistant who showed me the room apologized and said this wasn't his area. I waited for 45 minutes and finally started to leave since I heard the doctor come out and start a conversation about a machine that needed to be repaired. I decided to leave at this point and ventured through a few hallways but there was no exit sign so I asked the first employee to point me to the exit. She wanted to know why I was leaving and I explained the situation. She stated they planned on giving me the steroid injection and consult that day. I decided to leave as I had lost confidence and was afraid to receive a shot in my spine in this medical center. Good luck to others using Dr Gibby.
