I bought 145 acre and wanted to plant some fruit trees for my family and grandchildren to pick and enjoy. I over plan most everything I do, so I researched every online and local orchard. After much deliberation I purchased 30 trees in the fall, a mixed set of several apple varieties, persimmons and paw paws. They seemed to do well and thrive but I knew the proof would be in the spring when they would hopefully turn green. I was so pleased with the quality of the trees and the service, I placed a second order right away with another 6 trees and 2 grape vines. Much to my pleasure they stayed green for 6 weeks or so before the winter set in. Last winter I ordered a dozen more apple trees of mixed varietals so that I would have apples coming ripe from mid-summer through late autumn. I also ordered 30 pear trees, 18 peach trees, 18 plums, 12 cherries, and 6 apricots. I never made a single selection without the advice or confirmation of the fine staff at Willis Orchards. They were patient and helpful making suggestions as well as answering my questions. That number of trees was too many for me to put in the ground all at once so I asked the orders to be broken up into four different delivery times. Each order came on the exact day it was to arrive and every tree was in excellent condition. All together I have 132 Willis Orchard trees in the ground, three each of 44 different varietals. Twice I called for advice about concerns regarding a few trees which didnt seem to be thriving. Both times I was assured (accurately so) to give the trees a little more time and the they would likely be fine. Then came the impressive guarantee, if the tree did not make it, Willis Orchards would gladly replace the tree. Willis Orchards was willing to take the responsibilities of the shippers who delivered and, me, the planter, on their own shoulders. One cant ask for more than that. Willis Orchards trees and service have been wonderful!
