Unbelievable customer service!

I recently bought a new home with a large empty yard that I desired to fill with fruit and nut trees. Willis had several varieties that I could not find anywhere else. I had never purchased plants via mail order before but I decided to give it a try. There was a certain amount of trepidation on my part as I generally like doing business with someone face-to-face. I am glad I chose to try. I must note that my trees were shipped quicker than I expected. However, much to my disappointment, I realized that one tree was not in the package, even though it was listed on the shipping manifest. I completely understand that occasionally mistakes happen, especially when shipping a large volume of orders with many different products in each. I was dreading calling customer service to deal with the issue. Most of my prior experience with trying to inform a company that a mistake was made has been unpleasant, to say the least. Most companies will do anything to avoid admitting to and fixing a problem. When I called Willis the gentleman I spoke with immediately, and profusely, apologized for the error and said that he would get it taken care of. I was absolutely astonished when the missing tree arrived at my home the next day! They overnight expressed it. Additionally, since it was around four o’clock in the afternoon when I called they must have made a special effort to get it out before the close of business. I have never had any company acknowledge a mistake and got the extra mile to fix it like was done here. It is customer service like that has created a loyal customer as well as one who will tell others to look to Willis when in the market for new flora.
