We have an 1896 house with most of our original woodwork and moulding, which was converted from steam to baseboard hot water in the '70s. When it came time to ditch this, and get AC installed, we wanted something that would be both energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing. Other contractors weren't interested in selling us anything but ductless mini-splits, and simply replacing our boiler, but Atlantic was willing to go the extra mile. They worked with us to fit the ductwork and returns into our limited space, and were able to custom fabricate a unique return grille to fit into an existing built-in cabinet. They also found us some register grilles with a vintage cast-iron look, which fits in perfectly with the rest of the house. All the infrastructure was professionally installed, and their gas fitter and electrician were the best I’ve worked with. The site was cleaned every day, and they were able to work out the installation schedule such that we were only without heat for one night. The end result is a modern high-efficiency furnace and air conditioning system in the basement, with registers and returns that blend perfectly into the turn-of-the-century woodwork.
