Take your business elsewhere
I must begin by saying that I have no experience with HVAC systems.
In early June I had issues with my condo HVAC system as I had air coming out of my unit but it wasn't cold. It was very hot in my unit as I live on the 3rd floor, so I contacted my property manager and he couldn't give a solid response as he was busy, so I called JN&S to try to get it fixed.
First, the tech was an hour late, even though they give a 4 hour time window. He didnt but put his hand over the vent then took a flashlight and looked at the pipes and motor. He noted that the property manager needed to flush the entire building and that he could do nothing. He also stated that he couldnt do anything as company policy or rules stated he couldnt do work on the unit. JN&S was told that the unit was a condo during the scheduling.
He was done in 10 minutes and departed.
So I still had no AC, and instead of waiting for someone else, I looked at the pipes and removed some tape from the valves. I loosened a pressure valve a bit heard some air coming out. I did this to both hot and cold lines, then turned both lines back on. And it worked. It has continued to work for the past 30+ days with no issues.
I understand that there can be limits to what a HVAC company can do, but to arrive late then leave in 10 minutes after performing hardly any kind of professional assessment is unacceptable. Perhaps, what was needed to be done was too little work or it was the end of the work day, but a $95 visit fee for that is an insult to a company that I only found positive reviews on via yelp and google.
As soon as I got the first statement for the $95 visit fee, I called the company to speak to a Customer Support manager. The manager wasnt available so I left a message and noted the date and time I called. 30 days go bye and no return phone call or acknowledgment from the company. Then I get another statement request for payment. I have called the company again, and hopefully this will be resolved soon.
