Gina, the owner, is an aggressive bully and will NOT help you if there's a problem!

We regret ever hiring this company. We had one main goal in fencing our Mokena backyard: to keep our dog inside the fence and safe - nothing more! $8,000 later, that goal was never achieved. We explained this goal multiple times to Denise, the salesperson who came to our home. She saw our dog (a 15. Lb miniature poodle) in person, we asked her multiple times over 2 visits, will this contain our dog? She stated multiple times she has the same sized dog and the same fence and her dog is contained. She told us the regular Legend aluminum fence would be enough. We ordered the 290 linear feet of fence.

Installation day went very well. The workers professionally installed being careful around our property. They installed the fence very low like we asked. A few days later the gates were installed; we released our dog and she went straight through the fence, to our horror!!! I have video and photo proof. I called my vet shocked and she said if a dog’s head can get through the fence slats, their body can easily get through. This is something a fence company should know, as one of the main goals of fencing is to contain dogs.

I called and unfortunately spoke with Gina, the owner. We spoke 30 mins about a solution, the next day she berated me on the phone for taking up so much of her time the previous day. She quickly became dismissive, rude, and would storm off the phone in anger like a child, while I NEVER raised my voice and tried to come to a mutual solution. I can’t say the same for her. On the same call, the other worker took over speaking to me, and Gina would storm back on the phone in a childlike manner.

Gina was threatening and knew what keywords to mention: i.e. “lawyer” and “recorded phone line” to try to scare us off. She even mentioned us leaving a “negative review” when we were just trying to obtain a solution and weren’t even thinking of/caring about leaving a review! She has obviously been through this many, many times before to have such a protocol with dissatisfied customers!

We wanted all the fence panels removed and replaced with the puppy panel; we were willing to spend $2,500 more for the increased cost. Gina’s anger rose and she flat out refused! We tried to compromise and we suggested having mesh installed where K Bro’s pays for mesh and labor, Gina said NO. She even lied and said her company has never had 1 complaint until us; whereas her own worker said there have been multiple complaints before. Gina’s words cannot be trusted!

2 separate workers came out to our home and said Gina yells at them too! We feel so bad for the workers; what $@!#% they must live through. David, a worker, was exceptionally helpful and kind. He said the main rule of K Bro’s is that all customers leave satisfied; too bad the owner doesn’t agree! One worker stated there’s a dog tester device that Denise must have forgotten to bring out that day.

Gina blamed us for our fencing choice! I told her the reason you have a professional come out to your home is to give you expert advice. Denise neglected to bring the dog tester to ensure our dog couldn’t get out. What Gina refuses to understand is that Denise never said, “Well, we cannot guarantee your dog won’t get out, you have to make that final product decision yourself, but here’s what we would recommend product wise. If you are that concerned about it, I would recommend the puppy panel fencing.” That’s what *I* would say as a salesperson. Denise NEVER expressed ANY doubt that our dog could get out. She never said a disclaimer (which I am sure they do now, at our loss!). Our neighbors and family were angered we were treated like this.

Gina LIED to my husband to send final payment and then she would talk about a solution. She had no intention! We paid labor and materials to landscapers to install unappealing mesh/zip ties due to K Bro's failure of giving us proper advice! She's an aggressive bully who is UNPROFESSIONAL!

We will not respond to her if she replies. She had her chance and blew it! Avoid them like Covid19!

Hello Tiffany. It is true that you stated twice that you did not measure your dog properly on a recorded line, yes.
It is also true that when you repeatedly called and blamed Denise for the mistake you made in your measurement, you were reminded that properly measuring your dog was your responsibility. When you mentioned filing a complaint with the BBB we told you that in response to that complaint we would submit supporting records on our behalf to them. We realize that you are unhappy and you feel that it's Denise's fault, however she and all estimators bring sample material so customers can test to see if their dog can get through the pickets and we welcome customers to bring pets into the office as well. Denise also left a material brochure with you that clearly documents the specifications and distancing between fence pickets. She also offered a price for fencing with extra pickets (XP/closer spacing) but you didn't want to spend the additional amount. I cannot allow you to blame Denise or any of our employees for a mistake that you made. Although I was just being honest with you it is not true that you were mistreated in any way. Your husband was great to work with and we prefer that he contacts us with any further questions or concerns. Thanks, and stay safe!
