Dan is a human encyclopedia. He has a skill set above and beyond most inspectors due to all the years he spent building before he turned to inspecting. Also, while many inspectors pay a fee and attend a short course to get their "certification", Dan is actually a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors.
He was patient and thorough when explaining things to us, and helped us prioritize the big issues (as well as giving us a few tips for easy fixes for the smaller ones).
