Beware-
Read this before purchasing a Heating/Cooling system or service from Environmental Heating & Air of NC, Cary, NC
I bought my unit from Environmental Heating & Air of NC in 2012 because of price and their "excellent repair service" claim.
On a service call made June 11, 2015 my wife requested to see why the downstairs unit wasn’t performing well, they sold us a 2 year service contract and then supposedly checked out the downstairs unit which was underperforming and then checked out the upstairs unit. On the EH&ANC invoice it noted the upstairs unit was working satisfactory and they told us the 3 year old downstairs unit (RUUD) needed a replacement inside coil. $$$ !
I was out of town until late that day. Upon coming home I went upstairs and it was 88 degrees F. The upstairs unit was blowing but not cool air. I then immediately called the EH&ANC 24 hour emergency repair telephone number.
The invoice dated June 11, 2015 also said 24 hour emergency service 919 535-8422. That evening I called that number 4 times leaving them a message they had ruined my upstairs AC unit as it was 88 degrees upstairs and to call me back ASAP because we cannot sleep in our beds tonight as a result of their “service”.
Their 24 hour emergency service resulted in a phone call the next morning, some 10 hours after my 3rd emergency phone call to EH&ANC.
When they called back I asked why they it took so long after me calling in my emergency - they said they no longer have 24 hour emergency service. I asked why then is it printed on your bill and on your service truck. He then had the audacity to me they had removed that 24 hour service from their web site. There was little or no concern expressed about my “emergency” or the fact that Environmental Heating & Air of NC had screwed up my system. I lost confidence and trust in them. Wouldn’t you?
